Douglas M. Airey of Bloomsbury passed away on Thursday May 8, 2014 at the age of 50. He was born and raised in the westside section of Jersey City. He lived in Glen Gardner and moved to Bloomsbury 2 years ago. Douglas was a truck driver and truck mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Minnisota Viking fan. Mr. Airey was predeceased by his parents, William & Barbara (nee Iaccheri) Airey. He is survived by 3 brothers, Michael Airey & his wife Denise, William Airey & his wife Stephanie and John Airey & his wife Michelle, a sister, Barbara Weinberg & her husband Ron; 11 nieces and nephews, Brittany Airey, Alexander Airey, Zachary Weinberg, Emma Weinberg, Michael Airey, Evan Airey, P.J. Airey, Tatum Airey, Barabara Airey, and Lorenzo Airey; also survive by his loving companion Lizabeth Solkaski. Visitation will be at Frank Halpin's Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad Street, Bloomfield on Monday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Prayer services will be held during the evening visitation. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the American Brest Cancer Association, 113 Redbud Lane, Marinez, GA 30907-1679 (www.abca.info).
