Joan A. Patrizo, of Bloomfield, passed away on August 18th, 2021. She was 88 years old. Joan was a devoted parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield and belonged to the prayer group there. She enjoyed tending to her garden, travelling, and was an avid reader. Joan was predeceased by her husband Austin, in 2006; her two sisters, Frances Niedzwiecki, Josephine Toczylowski, and her brother, Joseph Niedzwiecki. She is survived by her loving daughter, Felicia Kazmer; her stepdaughter, Cleo (Philip) Federico; three sisters - Sally Ann Spudis, Phyllis Niedzwiecki, and Constance Fitch; as well as her sister-in-law, Meg Niedzwiecki; along with many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may visit on Monday, August 23rd from 4-7pm at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 24th at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on 60 Byrd Ave, Bloomfield. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Joan’s name.
