My Grandma has been a beautiful presence in my life since before my memory can even recall. Since I was a baby, there was my Grandma watching over me, feeding me and holding me in her arms. How blessed we all were, my sisters and I, to have such a pure, loving heart always praying for us and loving us, just for being born. As I grew up, I got to learn how my Grandma persevered through many hardships while always remaining humble and focused on God and His Glory. I am so grateful to God for every Sunday that I got to sit beside her in church, hearing her singing along with the hymns and closing her eyes as we prayed together holding each other's hands. I will never forget her joyful spirit, her boundless generosity, her encouraging wisdom, and how adamant she always was about footing every bill no matter what. As I grew older, I saw my Grandma as my best friend that I could share all my fears and doubts with. She always told me, "God has already made plans for you, so put all your worries and fears on Him". I will carry her words with me forever. My beautiful Grandma, how you showed this family so much about what it means to love relentlessly. When I think of you, Grandma, it will be of you enjoying the sunshine and breathing in the salty air on a beautiful day at the beach, where I know you felt the most peace. I carry you forever in my heart. A pioneer, a beautiful Angel who now sits in the arms of our Lord. I love you, Grandma.

My beloved Tante FiFi, you are forever in my heart. Always an inspiration, you taught me by example that a kind word and a wam smile will make any problem disappear. The way I'll remember my Aunt Fifi was a selfless trailblazer who inspired us all to be kinder, more humble and more patient by the example she set. Whether establishing herself and her family in the US or commuting to lower Manhattan every day for work, she was resilient and faced challenges head on. And while she did so fearlessly, she also did so with a smile, a warm hug, positive thoughts, strong Faith and loving heart.
