Natale A. Lisacchi, 98, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away peacefully at Good Shepherd Hospice Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY on December 20th. Nate was born in Newark, NJ on October 4, 1922, to Leonard and Francesca (Manasia) Lisacchi. He was predeceased by his sister, Adrian Bucco. He was married to Regina Lisacchi, (nee Semple) for 49 years. He was a resident of Bloomfield, NJ for most of his life where he raised his family of four children. After serving as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in both WWII and the Korean War as a Language Specialist. Mr. Lisacchi graduated from Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He had a long and distinguished career as a Hospital Sales Representative for Abbott Laboratories serving Essex and Bergen County Hospitals. He retired in 1984 after 33 years of service. In addition to his dedication to his children and grandchildren, he was a man of many talents, hobbies, and interests, including oil painting, stained glass, listening to jazz, and golfing. He was also a talented carpenter, plumber, and electrician who designed, built, and repaired many things for his family over the years. He was also an expert whistler, enchanting storyteller, and knew entirely too many answers on “Jeopardy.” He was a parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield for over 60 years and of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Jupiter, Florida for more than 25 years. Nate is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his children, his son, Leonard Lisacchi (recently deceased wife Deborah), daughters Rita McWatters (husband Barry), Sheila Phelan (husband Jim), Colette LaCaruba (husband Craig). “Pappy” was incredibly beloved by his eight grandchildren, their spouses, and his thirteen great-grandchildren. His generous, kind, and loving spirit will always be remembered with love and gratitude. Nate is also survived by his second wife of 15 years, Maureen Caulfield of Ridge, Long Island, NJ. A private funeral Mass for immediate family only due to Covid-19 restrictions will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle on 12/23. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Natale’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
