Dear Billy, Your Mom was such a special person. We met in college and became fast friends. I was one of her bridesmaids and she was one of mine. After a while we drifted apart, but your Mom found me on Facebook about 5 years ago and we took up where we left off. I'm so happy to have been part of her life these past 5 years. She loved life and especially loved you, Laura, and her two grandchildren. I will miss her and her wonderful smile. Please let me know when you have a memorial for her, hopefully on the beach..I know that is where she would want it to be.

As a friend of Bill's, I have such fond memories of Mrs. DeSimone (as I knew her) from when I was in middle and high school. She was always so supportive not just of Bill and his many official and unofficial social activities, but of kids like me who weren't blood relatives. She treated me like a member of her family, and I'm very grateful for her generous and inclusive spirit. Love and sincere condolences to family and friends...

Sincere condolences to Susan's family. We met in the Jr. Women's Club in Bergenfield many years ago. We stayed in touch via FB but I was not aware of what she was dealing with. We tried to meet up this summer at some DC shows but it never worked out. I am truly sorry for your loss. She was an amazing person!
