Obituary of Betty J. Burrows

Betty Jean Burrows, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on March 16, 2017. She was 91. Betty, was an executive secretary for PSE&G Engineering, before devoting her life to caring for her children, one whom had special needs. She was a member of the former Church of the Advent in Bloomfield, where Betty was a Sunday school teacher, ECW member, and assisted with administrative duties. Betty was predeceased by her husband, William, in 2001. Dear mother of; a daughter Joyce King and her husband John; and a son William Jeffrey Burrows. Loving grandmother of Katelyn King, of whom held a special place in her heart. Friends and family are asked to visit on Sunday, March 19th from 4-8pm, at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 20th, at Grace Episcopal Church in Nutley, with interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s name to either The Arc of Essex County, 123 Naylon Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039, or Compassionate Care Hospice, 1373 Broad Street, Suite 309, Clifton, NJ 07013.
